Sep 10 19:20:01 one modprobe: You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg Sep 10 19:20:01 one modprobe: init_module: No such device Sep 10 19:20:01 one modprobe: modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.22-6mdk/ kernel/drivers/sound/cmpci.o.gz failed Sep 10 19:20:01 one modprobe: modprobe: insmod cmpci failed Sep 10 19:20:01 one sound: Loading sound module (cmpci) failed After logging in (KDE desktop) there is no sound, but when I uncheck "Start aRts sounserver on KDE startup" in Control Centre > Sound system > aRts, the sound is working again, although the error messages remain.
