Menus and icons take forever to redraw. Mind you, my computer is an Athlon XP 2000 with 512 Mb RAM, a Geforce4 MX (with proprietary nvidia drivers installed) and a fast hard drive. Everything else on the desktop is fine, but the OOo GUI is slow as hell (I just tried to start Writer with a blank document). I wonder how it works on a low-end machine. It's a major problem, as Abiword is not installed with Mandrake, thus there are no alternatives without KDE.
