i updated my LaTeX today from cooker to tetex-latex-2.0.2-10mdk and noticed that the prosper style for slides is now incorporated. Good news.
However, prosper.cls contains a bug that prevents using the color package with it. The CVS version of prosper (http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/prosper/prosper/) is *not* correct at the present time.
Debian has open this bug under #160523 (see
http://bugs.debian.org/160523) and is now closed. The accepted patch is simply to move a line. I have tested it
successfully with tetex-latex-2.0.2-10mdk.

Can you provide me an offending testcase? Moving the line:
"\RequirePackage{graphicx} % MUST be loaded *before* seminar"
which expressely says "MUST be loaded *before* seminar", after the seminar package is dangerous right now (and the move has been done since version 1.15), unless I'm sure it doesn't break other things (and currently I'm not). What prosper author says?
Furthermore fill in a bug report in qa.mandrakesoft.com.
