Fresh install of Mdk9.2rc2 on a new disk.
The modem and the link work fine with Mdk9.1 on the other disk.

The modem is not detected during the install. The behaviour after install with
drakconnect is
the same. I have use the assistant in expert and normal mode.

/etc/ppp/pppoe.conf : line "USER="  without user.
The line "ETH=eth0" is correct [not the bug of 9.1: "ETH=eth0 (using module bcm4400)"]

/etc/sysconfig/drakconnect  contains 2 lines:
        # Connection type reminder
        name=
Compare with Mdk9.1:
        NET_DEVICE=eth0 (using module bcm4400)
        NET_INTERFACE=ppp0
        type=adsl_pppoe
