I'm using the dhcp installed by the program (dhcp-client).
The broadcast returns something like 127.162.192.001
which then is claimed.

After checking out hosts.conf ect, I got nothing to work.

The problem is in the kernel or the modules. I copied my 9.1 modules
on to my 9.2 partition and booted with my 9.1 kernel and the network
works properly, so the configuration must be OK.

You could help me imensely if you would email me a copy of the .config
file used on the Mandrake install disk that is used to compile my kernel
vmlinuz-2.4.22-6mdk. Then I'll see if I can recompile to fix it. Is
it on
the install disks?

Let me know.

Thanks

PS

I also seem to have no usbmouse support.
What is your configuration ?
Sound strange, you don't get an IP ?
What kind of dhcp client are you using ?

I have two networkcards. On 9.1 they configure properly with the wizard. One
uses the tulip module and the other uses the netsumi module. Both are detected
but neither works. My system insists on searching for 127.000.000.001 as a DHCP.
I'm sure this can be straigtened out with the command line, but then I don't
need drak. This a clean Install /dev/hda7
