Product: bind Component: program Summary: bind's imortal Product: bind Version: 9.2.3-0.rc2.1mdk Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: program AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] After chrooting bind a "service named restart" does not seem to kill bind, Luca Berra suggested that it could be a bug in the killproc routine. Here's more info: http://archives.mandrakelinux.com/cooker/2003-09/msg06310.php http://archives.mandrakelinux.com/cooker/2003-09/msg06319.php Proposed fix (workaround): Use "/usr/sbin/rndc -c ${ROOTDIR}/etc/rndc.conf stop" instead of "killproc named". This bug is marked as a "blocker" because QA does not seem to have tested this at all... (no sane person should run bind unless it is jailed in a chroot) -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
