Here is a rather Random suggestion that might improve testing and bug reporting for the Beta's and RC's.
Offer 1 years "Free membership to Mandrake Club" to the 2 or 3 people who report the most bugs that are confirmed during the Beta and RC process. Also offer a years or 6 months free membership to the person who reports the "Most Critical" bug which is Confirmed. This wouldn't really cost MandrakeSoft any thing other than a few MB of Bandwidth of club packages. Membership to Mandrake Club would be the cheapest option but others such as a "Free Copy of ProSuite" or a "DVD version MandrakeLinux" signed by the MandrakeSoft Developers might work as well. This would probably would help boost interest in Bug reporting and Beta testing among the wider Mandrake Community. This would need to be advertised quite clearly and throughly during the final testing process to work and could be linked to a clear and detailed guide or description of how to test, find bugs and report them.
