[Cooker] Flashing keyboard light

The keyboard lights (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock)  on my computer are
intermittantly flashing every few seconds. During typing, if you hit a key at
the moment it is flashing, character is dropped. I've not found what is running
in the background to cause this. Any known causes? Thanks.
