Anytime I get a crash with the mail component of mozilla, I delete XUL.mfasl from my .mozilla profile. Wonder if this is related. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=168516
I think I remember this one from Mozilla 1.1 days - AFAIR a crash in Mail followed by failure to restart unless XUL.mfasl was deleted. My feeling is it's something different, but I'll keep it in mind.
Anyway, so far so good with --with-pthreads (but I don't understand it).
