Hello Further to my previous e-mail (Which went unanswered) I have a problem with this kernel: I have installed the kernel and amended grub accordingly. (It is running as the linux-up option) I have the initrd image which preloads reiserfs (Which is my filing system) I then get a VFS kernel panic, saying it is unable to mount root on sda5. It then recommends that I ammend a root= somewhere. Booting from 2.2.15 is fine. Any ideas??? Ta Alex
