Responses on the Jakarta mailing list suggest that I am not alone in
having nebulous and untraceable problems adding the Tomcat servlet
module to the Mandrake apache package. Has anyone had any success in
connecting Tomcat 3.1 or 3.2 to the binary Apache either from Mdk 7.1
or the one currently sitting in the cooker? There are no symptoms in
the log file, no errors on loading, and direct requests to Tomcat
confirm the servlet engine is working, but any request for a JSP page
or a servlet generate a "found match" response in the mod_jk log
and a "file not found" response in the apache error log.
