An attempt to make a fresh install from the current cooker (rsync
from the aarnet mirror) hung and would not complete. The cursor
shows a watch, and no click on any of the LEDs got any response.
C-A-F3 shows:
running: rmmod parport-probe
C-A-F4 shows:
<6> parport-probe failed
<6> parport0: no IEEE 1284 device present
<6> lp0 using parport0 (polling)
The printer is perfectly operational under other Linux partitions and
a Windows partition.
This is particularly unfortunate, since no recovery of the work
already done in the install, which surely should not need to be
repeated - 20 mins) is possible.
