Hello,

Sorry I'm late about this, but between 13mdk and 14mdk a change was put
through that involves patch #54. This patch requires alsa. On an alpha
alsa isn't compiled, but an attempt is made to apply the patch:

I think patch #54 might be a bit misplaced in the kernel package. Right
now

+ echo 'Patch #54 (linux-2.2.17-alsa-0.5.9-kcompat.jeff.patch.bz2):'
Patch #54 (linux-2.2.17-alsa-0.5.9-kcompat.jeff.patch.bz2):
+ /usr/bin/bzip2 -d
+ patch -p1 -s

Same goes for patch #55:

+ echo 'Patch #55 (linux-2.2.17-pcmcia-3.1.20-kcompat.jeff.patch.bz2):'
Patch #55 (linux-2.2.17-pcmcia-3.1.20-kcompat.jeff.patch.bz2):
+ /usr/bin/bzip2 -d
+ patch -p1 -s

Could these patches perhaps be regrouped with the other alsa / pcmcia
patches so it doesn't get applied on an alpha? (not that the kernel
package will build on an alpha with this change, but it's a start ;-) )

Thanks!!

Stefan
