Well, I have MySQL working fine. I installed the php-mysql rpm as well as the
php rpm. Then MySQL works through a loadable PHP module.

Mind you, that was for php-4.0.2-3mdk, so I don't know if the later version
broke it, or the poster thought php-4.0.2-4mdk was meant to include everything.
