{ My `cat /proc/pci` gives:
{ Bus 0, device 10, function 0:
{ Unknown mass storage controller: Promise Technology IDE UltraDMA/66 (rev 1).
{ Medium devsel. IRQ 10. Master Capable. Latency=64.
{ I/O at 0xd800 [0xd801].
{ I/O at 0xdc00 [0xdc01].
{ I/O at 0xe000 [0xe001].
{ I/O at 0xe400 [0xe401].
{ I/O at 0xe800 [0xe801].
{ Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xec000000 [0xec000000].
{ and my boot "append=" is "ide2=0xd800,0xdc02 ide3=0xe000,0xe402 "
{ If I were you I would try those numbers. There are five addresses and
{ only four of them are IDE channels
I've just tried your suggestion and it does not work. I've tried
"ide2=0xd800,0xdc02 ide3=0xe000,0xe402" and "ide2=0xd800,0xdc00
ide3=0xe000,0xe400". With the first, I get "ide3: ports already in use,
skipping probe" and the installation detects ide0, ide1, ide4, ide5. With
the second, I get the same result without the message about ide3.
