Probably because of the new naming scheme, for those in /lib /usr/lib/
/usr/X11R6/lib are not affected but for the rest: yes. If you ever see a lib
that is in those locations suffixed with the major version number of a packate
without proper reason please make a bug report ot the maintainer!!
