Update: I got into cooker from 7.2's boot menu and ran lilo sucessfully
(after mounting /boot - for some reason, fstab options for this were:
user,exec,suid,noauto,rw 1 2).

Got that too! I'll have to kill mon.

Is Mandrake going crazy??

1) Removing DrakConf from desktops is bad enough, but linking all the drak
tools to a non-operating /usr/bin/consolehelper is sheer madness! One of my
reasons for migrating from RedHat to MS was consolehelper (LM6.2 days).

2) Removing expert from DrakX is a BAD move. There is NO choice at all any
more. Individual package selection doesn't work so I have to have everything
and clear out the crap manually. No choice of X server or boot loader

3) KDM _still_ only offers default, faisafe and KDE sessions.

No pat on the back this time chaps -- and I know you _do_ like those.
