Hi,

how about letting DraX write ~/.mandrake-update after install,
as it "knows" about the source path used for installation.
In most cases this would be /path/used/for/install/../../updates

This would be quite useful when installing from a local mirror which
also holds the update path that would definitly not show up when
selecting "update list of mirrors" in MandrakeUpdate.

Installing from ftp://local.mirror/Mandrake/7.3/i586/ would add

[..]
mandrake_version = 7.3
source_network
mirror = ftp://local.mirror/Mandrake/updates
cooker_mirror = ftp://local.mirror/Mandrake/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS
[..]

Just my $0.02
  Christian
