I have the same probelm but Xfree86-4.0.2 and several other packages won't 
install either. I also get a list that so long i can't even click yes or 
no... to continue i finally just gave up and installed 7.2 so i could try 
getting it from a different mirror.

I know it not much but thought i let you know your not alone...
