Well I burned the beta iso's and this is how it turned out on a Abit kt7-raid mb with 256m and an IBM udma100 DeskStar 30g drive. Using Asus 7100 GeForce2 MX 32m vid card. SCSI card aha-1505. The install acted much like 7.2. I did notice on the partitioning that not all the directories were listed on the drop down menu. Seems to me that in 7.2 I could pick /boot. This install was done using expert ....... Previously with 7.2 the scsi card worked on problem during the install setting it with aha=0x140,9,7,1. I did the same and it said it was located. However, when I booted up it was not present. See demg.txt ... said I had a conflict but this was not so before. When I run DrakConf and then exit the loose the screen and am left with a nice mouse pointer. Must do ctrl-alt-backspace. Same for both root and user. Tried deleting a user but errored with a ptmp error. Sawfish or is it Sawmill, can't remembe what the new name is, was installed but fails to run. It seems to start loading but then just sits there. Gnome does run. My RTL-8139 card works fine and nothing had to be changed. Not a big fan a watching only 3 images during the install. Made the install seem longer than watching each individual file go by. Noticed as well that the recpients line in netscape email is always blank ... can't type anything. Greg
