I've got a S3 Trio3d card. It's always been detected properly but it's still set up with XFree86 3.3.6. It's been supported by XFree86 4.0 +. Why does the installer still chooses 3.3.6? The menu pixmaps in netscape and word perfect come up in black & white at 24bpp which is the best 3.3.6 can do. If I go to 16bpp that color depth gives poor resolution to images. I still have to install 4.0.x manually to get the color depth I need. How about a fix? -- Kelley Terry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
