I just installed current cooker on a Compaq Presario 18XL483 Everything worked fine, i'm the first suprised :-) Just two remarks : - initial warning "your winmodem needs proprietary drivers, see www.linmodem.org" is not easy to remember, if you have nothing to write at this time. It should be saved in a file, for later reference - i still had problems with second remote printer test hanging up, as in a previous report for beta 1, using CUPS. This time i succeded to force installation to continue, however. - still untranslated "summary" step in left margin during french install. BTW, i still had traktopel during installation, whereas i thought they had gone :-) -- Guillaume Rousse Murphy's law : If anything can go wrong, it will.
