yes I too have seen this and am using Nvidia drivers. Came back to the
computer and the screensaver was locked up. Could kill the via
ctrl-backspace or ctrl-alt-del. Was able to log in via ssh and
shutdown.
Another time I couldn't do anything just had to use the reset button.
