I had exactly the same problem and downgrading to 1.0.7 solved it. I'm
using the ximian evolution snapshots
(ftp.ximian.com/pub/evolution-snapshots/redhat-70-i386) and everything
else (oaf, orbit, gconf, bonobo, bonobo-conf) is from cooker.
