I just upgraded to 2.2.4.1 and have verified that this is *not* fixed.
However, this time I was able to go in and manually edit
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf and change only:
Browse=true
to
Browser=false
and now it works again with the face browser disabled.
So, maybe this is something b0rked in the configurator tool that needs
to be brought up with George Lebl?
