A buddy was doing an install of 8.1b2 and noticed that the choice to use or not use md5 passwords was no longer available. (He has a 7.2 application server and will upgrade to 8.1 when it's out. He saw me do a demo install for 8.1b2 at the LUG meetings and wanted to see what other improvements were there for him, other than the newer kernel version he needs. In his multi-platform work environment (SCO and Linux), he can't use md5 passwords because SCO can't use them when the password files are shared. He was able to comment out a line in one of the PAM config files to eliminate md5 passwords, but having the choice in the install would be better. Could you put it back in? Thanks, Hoyt
