Oh, I am not taking your wrong.  I am not so much arguing with "you"
but with the arguments being made against using it 100% of the time.

Which is a good argument for "default off" in glibc and enabled with
(something like):

$ export LIBSAFE=1

That would be nice for sure.  It would be really nice if the GLIBC
folks accepted and integrated the work.  You would get your name in
the list of contributors for glibc!  :-)
