Thats because the servers anonymoys logons are all used. The only way you can get in is to know the passwd. Indeed rpmdrake is not really aware of full ftp-servers. At the moment it retries every 5 seconds which is a nuisance to those servers and it doesn't give a note to the desktop-user. Suggestion: wait for 5 minutes and put out a note to the desktop. By the way I allways start rpmdrake from the console. Now I bet most newbies don't know this trick so wouldn't it be helpfull for them if they would see all that info? Suggestion: basic. Let rpmdrake allways start from an xterm or make a separate window for it. Cya, Han.
