Hello, I just upgraded to kernel 2.4.12-4 (from the 2.4.8 which shipped with Mandrake 8.1) and now I got problems with sound output.
It seems that artsd freezes after a few minutes of operation, all executions of artsplay get stuck and I have to kill them manually. Also KDE stops playing any sounds. If I restart artsd from the KDE control center, it will work again for another few minutes. Any ideas? Rainer
