What version are you using ? Also what CPU do you use ? Are you sure, you are not using devfs ? (powertweak does not run with devfs, probably never will according to the docs). Also does /dev/cpu/*/cpuid exists ? On my AMD Mobile Duron 800 system gpowertweak crashes with the following error (strace): munmap(0x4002f000, 4096) = 0 open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not implemented) open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not implemented) open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENODEV (No such device) open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not implemented) open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not implemented) open("/dev/cpu/0/cpuid", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENODEV (No such device) --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) --- (Version 0.99.4-1mdk) I'm not quite sure if the current version (2mdk) will do any difference for me: * Fri Dec 14 2001 Lenny Cartier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0.99.4-2mdk - rebuild with right compiler With best regards, Reinhard Katzmann -- Software-Engineer, Developer for Embedded Devices Project: HyperPen Tablet USB Driver for Linux GnuPG Public Key available on request
