See my another message with subject ATTN: clean up /lib/dev-state when updating to new devfsd/kernel/initscripts It's full of broken symlinks :-) I guess it is > refreshed at shutdown, so i can safely delete everything there ? Except any link in /dev you (or some program) have created manually will be lost, like /dev/modem. Simply recreate such links. -andrej
