Hi I think these pb's with the use of iso8859-1 on a iso8859-15 box is caused by sloppy heritage in the installer.
My report.bug has the installer search for en_US although I have never opted for that setup. The installer probably goes off directly on the default which is en_US but later searches for my choice the en_GB. >From report.bug: * warning: rm of /usr/share/locale failed: No such file or directory * warning: rm of /usr/share/locale_special failed: No such file or directory * getFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo: * errorOpeningFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo * getFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo: * errorOpeningFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo * getFile VERSION: * Trying with server FBDev * starting step `selectLanguage' * getFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo: * errorOpeningFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo * getFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo: * errorOpeningFile Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/share/locale_special/en/LC_MESSAGES/libDrakX.mo * selectLanguage: pack_langs sv:en_GB:en * loading keymap uk * running: xmodmap /tmp/xmodmap.uk * step `selectLanguage' finished regards guran -- Mandrake Linux 8.2 Cooker kernel-2.4.17.14mdk-1-1mdk version:2002-02-05-15:48
