Hi

I think these pb's with the use of iso8859-1 on a iso8859-15 box is caused by 
sloppy heritage in the installer.

My report.bug has the installer search for en_US although I have never opted 
for that setup. The installer probably goes off directly on the default which 
is en_US but later searches for my choice the en_GB.
