that's the Mandrake naming policy for library packages. The name should
include the major version number of the library. That way you can install
several versions of one library. This should ease the upgrade. If you use the
rpmdrake installer it should figure the depencies out.

So then deinstall the xine-lib package and install libxine0.9.8 and the other
needed stuff.

It is in the contrib dir, not in cooker
