Done.

bor@cooker% rpm -q kernel-2.4.17.15mdk bootsplash mkinitrd
                   ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
kernel-2.4.17.15mdk-1-1mdk
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is not this amusing :)
bootsplash-1.0-1mdk
mkinitrd-3.1.6-25mdk
bor@cooker% sudo grep vga= /etc/lilo.conf
vga=788
        vga=788
        vga=788
        vga=788
bor@cooker% lspcidrake | grep -i matro
Card:Matrox Millennium: Matrox|MGA 2064W [Millennium]

What I have is

After kernel start I get semitransparent splash screen that resembles
lilo boot screen (folks, you make all world laugh at you. You already
have seen reactions on the lilo boot screen). Kernel messages fill about
2/3 of screen height and start on 1/3 of screen height from bottom.
Neither kernel messages nor boot splash screen are really visible.

Is it really intended this way?
