the inodes bitmaps've been zeroed. too last. if you stop it, an e2fsck may recover some stuff (in fact, i did format an 45gb fs full of ogg and recover 3/4 of them since i kill mke2fs before he zeroed all inodes tables. there were no more connection between directories & inodes, so all was gone in lost+found, but a script restored quite a bit of it with id3/ogg info the data is still there but you've no way to access but to directly read the block device :-(
