Are you sure "rm /var/lib/rpm/__* ; rpm --rebuilddb" doesn't fix the problem? I once had a super strange problem due to a broken db. Also, in the past this could happen when / or /usr or /var was full, it should be fixed but please verify. -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://www.frozen-bubble.org/
