I have been asked to write copies of the GPL CDs which will be
distributed to all the public libraries in our province. It would be
nice to be able to provide CDs with SRPMs also.

I have tried to use mkcd to do this, but have not had much luck.
Unfortunately I found out yesterday that the CDs will be collected from
me today, so I can't spend much more time trying to figure it out.

Could someone tell me how to make SRPM CDs assuming I have a full
Mandrake 8.2 mirror (which I do).

Would it not be an idea to distribute the config file used to build the
official ISOs (just enough to make the GPL ISOs and the SRPM ISOs) in
the release? (or is this a chicken-and-egg problem?).

Regards,
Buchan
