I'm using a home brew 2.4.18 with newest ACPI patches, and the derivepanic patch to get hardware working with my Sony GRX 570, without it the hsf modem, and 3rd usb hub don't work at all, and sound is choppy/stutters.
The only problem is that usb-storage, which the usb floppy, and memory stick rely on doesn't work once the ACPI has been patched.
