I suppose the limit is currently one of the following values
(can't guess between "bounce" or "message" without additional
infos ;p) (though I don't know if it has changed at all in the
recent past - yves ?).

[root@obiwan root]# postconf | grep size
bounce_size_limit = 50000
header_size_limit = 102400
mailbox_size_limit = 51200000
message_size_limit = 10240000
