urpmi-3.5 version use a different requires resolution algorithms more complete but new (so problably broken) including new --auto-select algorithms (more complete on some topic, but less on some other (incomplete writing)). Can you try the magic "urpmi --bug <dir_name> --auto-select" so that I can reproduce it there ? François.
