I had a crash at some time.
Since then, I have installed packages that appears as not installed. If I want to install them, they pollute my (and your) bandwidth for finally telling me that they are "already installed". Every time I refresh the list, they reappear. Rebuilding the rpm db doesn't help. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN says the console. But it does. Is it so difficult to add "already installed" packages to an installed list. Ask me if you need more data, I'm sure willing to help on this one. CU CPHIL -- Pittsburgh Driver's Test (8) Pedestrians are (a) irrelevant. (b) communists. (c) a nuisance. (d) difficult to clean off the front grille. The correct answer is (a). Pedestrians are not in cars, so they are totally irrelevant to driving; you should ignore them completely.
