DigiKam and gtkam currently only work for root.
gphoto2 can be set setuid for users, but this doesn't affect gtkam or digikam, so only 
commandline is usable for digital cameras accessed through gphoto2.

Haven't messed much with digikam (KDE app) but gtkam cannot be made setuid (gtk lib 
doesn't allow it).
