elbers : 08/08 11:59 : Incident created I have tried to install 9.0 beta 2 and found yhe following: - pressing F1 after booting just gives a light blue screen, nothing else - my Promise 20276 raid controller was not recognised anymore, in the first beta it was recognised but I couldn't use it. - the swapper process uses 99% CPU - there was an estimated installation time of 6 hours, the longest time I've ever seen - it would be nice to have a button to select all packages. - the following packages failed because the RPM's were not OK: - aspell-de-CH failed - automake - enlightment - perl-TK - gimp-data-extras - mandrake-dics-es - ispel-no -da - gnuplot - howto-html-zh - kde-i18n-he da sv - kernel-source-2.4.18mdk - kon2 - when the installation said that there were 10 seconds left, it took at least 10 minutes - it would be nice to have kernel 2.4.19 instead of 2.4.18 - after booting the installed system I got a black screen adn no reaction on keyboard or mouse - during startup (before the freeze) I saw complaints about: - scsi-hostadapter - modprobe fb0 - getgrpnam - user snort unknown - nfs -----end quoted text-----
