I have found a lot of problems when working with numerous image files on gnome and kde. Both Nautilus and Konqueror do a good job with preview images, but if you start to rename and copy files between directories like a madman, the caching-algorithms seem to fail resulting in wrong preview images being displayed.
I have submitted a more detailed bug at kde.org. However, if someone could reproduce the issue, it would certainly help me - and gnome/kde. Joerg
