May I make a suggestion regarding the install of Mandrake? If you have a faulty CD, Mandrake tries a bit then comes up with a package error and asks whether to continue.
If you select 'continue=no' would it please be possible to eject the CD so that it can be replaced with another (hot off the press as it were, or some other backup)? At the moment it lets you re-define your package selections but, unless you pick some extra package from another disk, it just carries on using the one in the drive and a novice would have some considerable problem with this. This sounds like a really tiny fix (he says hopefully). Chris Stevens
