During b4 install on a laptop whose netword card was unsupported (orinoco_cs), I told it to try updating packages from the network at the end, which should have failed immediately, since the network was not available. The machine appeared to hang, although there was occasional periodic HD activity at 1-min intervals, so this is either a loop or an unacceptably long timeout/retry situation.
I was able to break out via CTRL-ALT-BSP and then CTRL-C, and the installed system booted OK.
