Tried to mount a file with a filesystem with help of /dev/loop0 only to find by #ls /dev/loop* there were none at all !
I have a hdinstall from files on the isos copied to a directory on a partition. Is the lack of /dev/loop* the reason that a hdinstall from the 3 isos in a directory /m/ on a partition "hangs" with Can't find libgtk+1.2-devel-1.2.10-27mdk.586 because it is on the 2nd iso and "Mandrake Install" can not mount the 2nd iso? erik
