emu101-tools is only for oss drivers. Things like 4 speakers are already supported
in ALSA by default. Only the effects are not working AFAIK. But with the current 
interface,
I do not think anybody is using them anyways.

That's because you need to have the alsa driver loaded if you want to select the alsa
sound-server.
