My one looke like this: via82cxxx_audio : VIA Technologies|VT82C686 [Apollo Super AC97/Audio] [MULTIMEDIA_AUDIO] (vendor:1106 device:3058 subv:104d subd:80e3) So it seems we have different devices (at least according to subv and subd). Also I have to admin that I did not yet update to rc2 from beta4 as I'm waiting for my new hard drive to come. Tonight is too late, but if the drive does not arrive tomorrow, I'll try a custom 9mdk kernel on my laptop.
