In the meantime, I've tried to reproduce your problem: we have a bug in blank.img :-((. Can you try with: http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~gc/files/blank.img 5dc68156a2ad1cc3c042c6f5c9b9f459 blank.img and tell me if that works?
